About us

KOIpound

Located in Cincinnati’s West End at 2008 Freeman Ave, the KOIpound is a budding arts compound, workshop, performance and events space developed in the spirit of the Burning Man creative culture (see “About Burning Man and Regional Burns”).

Mission statement: “We exist to foster a collaborative environment wherein people can explore and create intersections between technology, science, art and culture through public education and membership.”

The KOIpound is an ongoing community created and controlled project. It is a place to learn, teach, create and share in an imaginative environment.

As a community effort, civic responsibility, individual participation, immediacy of experience, and environmental consciousness are high among the goals and priorities of the KOIpound.

KOI Burners

The KOI Burners are a diverse group of visual artists, makers, fire artists, performers, all around creators, and Burning Man-related event participants from Kentucky, Ohio, and Indiana. Members of the KOI Burners organize and participate in several events and community projects each year, including regional Burns — Burning Man associated art festivals — and the Northside 4th of July Rock and Roll Carnival.

    Greetings,
I heard about Hacker Space on public radio. I am interested in scheduling a field trip to your facility for my family (7 members).

Would you please work with me to make this happen?

    Thanks,
    Emily
